Sophie Calle (born 1953) is a French writer, photogarpher, installation artist and conceptual artist.  Calle’s work is distinguished by its use of arbitrary sets of constraints. Her work frequently depicts human vulnerability, and examines identity and intimacy. She is recognized for her detective-like ability to follow strangers and investigate their private lives.     Your work fascinates me. Human vulnerability is such a tender and fascinating topic. I, too, explore human vulnerability, but in a very different way–I circulate journals for people to write in. It’s amazing how they turn out.
